Rauchbier

Our first time brewing a Rauchbier! We didn't know what to expect with this one. We've had smoky beers before that we liked a lot and others not so much. We went with 28% smoked malt for the grain bill and it seems about right. With a hint of smokiness on the nose and on the tongue. We did an ale for the half of this batch and a lager for the second half. The ale version is pictured below and turned out great!
